1. Low Slope Roof Applications. 

  • Employees engaged in work activities on low slopes roofs, with unprotected sides and edges six feet (1.8m) or more

PERSONNEL LIFTS/HOISTING DEVICE

  1. Aerial Lifts (JLG, Scissors, Snorkel, Etc.). Personnel riding in or working from these lifts must secure their safety lanyard to the lift basket at all times.Spiders and Ski-Climbers. Personnel riding in or working from these hoisting devices shall each be provided an independent lifeline and rope grab.  

Full Body Harness/Shock Absorbing Lanyards



  1. A full body harness and shock absorbing lanyard system shall be worn and secured where there is a fall exposure of six feet (1.6m) or more. (Site requirements say “if a fall hazard exist”)
  2. If the work is located on a permanent structure and no fall potential is created by the work or by the condition of the structure, full body harnesses are not required.
